Travel with New Journeys

New Journeys was started, in large part, as a result of Chris traveling to some of the world's most incredible, spiritually-enlighted places on the planet, including:

Sedona, AZ
Peru
Nepal
Thailand
India

In order to help people on their own journey, Chris decided, after talking with many friends and collegues, to put together trips to these incredible locations to help people experience these life-changing places and people for themselves. If you're interested, click on any of the links below to request more information. Please confirm which trip you're interested in, and any specific questions you have.

Cathedral Rock in Sedona is an incredible rock formation and energy vortex - New Journeys
Sedona, AZ (Feb 13-17, 2014) $1400

Sedona has been voted one of "America's 10 Most Beautiful Places" - and with good reason!

Although Sedona has only 11,000 full-time residents, the town receives over 4.5 million visitors a year - for hiking, for spiritual journeys, for experiencing the energy vortexes in the area - and it's the perfect place to re-discover yourself.

Chris has a home in Sedona, called My Sedona Place, which will be home base for this trip - the first 3 people to register for each trip will be able to stay in his dome home (check out the pictures by clicking HERE ); additional guests may be added in the home depending on their flexibility with sleeping arrangements (there are two queen beds, so any couples wanting to come are certainly welcome). Additional guests are more than welcome, although there may be a slight price increase depending on the rates at the nearby hotel.

Costs for this trip include the following:
- transfers to/from the airport in Phoenix, about 2 hours away by shuttle
- accommodations - the home has two queen beds, two twin beds, and a roll-away cot
- most meals (depending on the excursions, we may need to eat at a restaurant on the road)
- all transfers within Sedona and area
- admission to all tourist sites
- all hiking guide services

Cost for the trip is $1400.

Flights from Edmonton are currently around $350 return, which is a pretty good deal; they can get as high as $500 or more, but it's rare to find them at less than $400.

There is a maximum of 6 people for this trip, although large groups may be specially accommodated upon request.

Our values are those things we hold most dear - New Journeys
Peruvian Adventure (May 3-24, 2014) $3700

Peru is experiencing a brand new 'discovery' by the global community - tourism is now their third-largest economic driver after mining and agriculture. And with good reason.

Peru offers some of the most incredible sites and experiences in the New World... from the incredible majesty of Machu Picchu, to sandboarding at Ica... from the stillness of the ancient tombs of Sillustani near Lake Titicaca, to the mystery of the Nazca Lines... and from the incredible restaurants in Lima, to the site of guinea pigs in a farmer's house... but you will come away from your Peruvian Adventure truly changed, not from the sites, but from the people - little children laughing and playing and running beside you as our trekking group arrives at their village... the farm women obsessively spinning their wool and alpaca as they walk down the trails... and the artists in the squares in Lima, trying to catch your eye so you will look at how they have tried to capture Peruvian life.

The trip can be broken into two parts - the first 10 days will include:

- all accommodations for the duration of the trip
- almost all meals - there will be two dinners for you to explore on your own
- all tourist site entrance fees, and all internal transfers - a bit of time in Lima - 2 days
- flight to Cuzco, and a chance to explore the city for a couple days
- day-long tour of the Sacred Valley and three incredible Incan ruins
- 3-day trek in the Andes, visiting rural mountain villages and farm houses (and finding our OWN Inca Trails)
- train trip into Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu Pueblo
- day-long, guided tour of Machu Picchu
- hot springs in Aguas Calientes (what were you thinking with a name like that? :)
- return travel to Cuzco
- visit to a weaving cooperative outside of Cuzco (donations, or shopping, welcome)
- return flight from Cuzco to Lima (for those only staying first 10 days) The next eleven days will see us heading south, and will include: - all transfers city-to-city (a few first-class sleeper coach transfers are necessary) - all accommodations for the duration of the trip
- almost all meals - there will be two dinners for you to explore on your own
- all tourist site entrance fees, and all internal transfers
- guided shaman visit to Sillustani, sacred tomb site near Lake Titicaca
- day to explore Puno and area
- trip to Colca Canyon, world's second deepest canyon, and condor watching
- two days in Arequipa, the true White City and Peru's second largest center (sorry, Frodo)
- a small-plane flight over the Nazca Lines
- a night-time visit to a sacred site near Nazca with a shaman/author
- sandboarding, and dune buggying, at Ica (a true desert oasis)
- return to Lima for a last day of exploring
